I have ten years experience working with dogs, and their people, suffering from behavioral issues. My areas of specialization are dogs that are fearful or making aggression displays. I will work with these dogs with, and without, a bite history. because so much of aggression in dogs is routed in fear, my goal is to help these dogs develop confidence and recognize that the world is not such a scary place after all. To do this it’s critical to help the dog’s people learn how to recognize when their dog is becoming uncomfortable and how to diffuse the situation. I work with all dogs using the Least Invasive, Minimally Aversive (LIMA) techniques and work to instill trust in both dog and their people.
